Well by now, I hope you all know the wonderful talent behind the songs on our portfolio sites, Jared Fowler. He’s also the talent behind many more amazing songs that will be on his album that is set to be released in the next month or so. We are soooo excited to get our hands on this cd but even more excited to be a tiny part of it. Last night Shannon and I took Jared out and did some artwork for his album. I don’t know what he’s going to use but we are just so honored to be asked to contribute to something that is going to be so great!
We will be sure to let you know when his album will be released and when the singles are put on iTunes… you’ll be able to have a copy of these awesome songs for yourself!!

I had so much fun with a lovely couple today. They’ve taken advantage of the January “birthday” offer we’re extending and came in for their complimentary mini-maternity session. I can’t wait to meet their new little baby in a few weeks! Honestly, I think this may be my favorite part of the job… meeting these awesome couples that come in expecting their babies. You can see the excitement in their eyes and hear it in their voices as they describe that it’s the first grandbaby on both sides or that the nursery is almost done or that they can’t quite think of a name, but they’re confident it will come to them when they see her beautiful face.
Whatever it is, I love listening to their stories and remembering what it’s like to be waiting… expecting. And in a few weeks when they bring this little baby back that they’ve been waiting for, it’s so wonderful to see every single expectation was fulfilled in this teeny tiny sweet little baby.
I love my job.

Well if you follow this blog, you’ll know that Shannon and I launched our new websites on January 1st. We are so excited about what this year is going to bring and hope that all of you will be a part of it as well!
One big huge thank you that we want to put out there is to Jared Fowler. He is the huge talent behind the songs on both our sites: Made for Me (which was co-written with his wife Angie Palfrey) and Look My Way. Both songs were written specifically for our sites and we feel completely blessed that he lent us his talents to make our sites extra special! We have had quite a few inquiries regarding the songs and where you can obtain a copy of your own. Well, Jared has a CD coming out very soon… it will be available on iTunes shortly and we’ll be sure to let you know the exact date. Jared is also about to take off on a BC tour so be sure to try and check him out… he’s great live!

January 1st, 2010 marks Lucy Lime’s First Anniversary! That’s right! It’s been one whole year since we launched this little company of ours and we have to say that it’s been more than we could have ever hoped for. The response we have gotten from our past, current and new clients has been overwhelming and while it’s been a year of trial and error, it’s also been a year of success and we have all of you to thank!
This new year will hold lots of new things for Lucy Lime and we can’t wait to share it with you all! There’s only a couple things we can mention right now… First, we are proud to launch our new portfolio sites that we have been working hard on. Please do go check them out and feel free to send us some feedback on what you like and what you see could use some improvement. Our goal is to showcase our work in a simple, classic format that is easily navigated by our clients. We hope you enjoy what you see!

Also, we have changed up our pricing. The basis of the pricing stays the same, but we have altered the Collections so that you have more of a say of what you receive. Do you like to showcase your images as artwork displayed proudly on your walls? Wonderful! We have something for you! Perhaps you’d rather have some high quality smaller prints to hand out to the grandparents as gifts? Well, we have something for you too! We have been listening to your comments, and we hope that our changes are coming close to meeting the needs of all our clients! We still focus largely on offering digital files and are proud to be one of the few studios at our level to offer that option.
Well what would a birthday be without presents?!?! And of course, we wouldn’t be here without all of you… so here ya go!
