Being a family photographer is an amazing thing but any family or child photographer will tell you that running a photography business is no easy task. There are many things other than taking pictures that we must do to keep our business a float…..I won’t bore you with those details, but all of you who run small businesses yourselves know what I mean. We are not able to shut the door and leave work at work…we live, eat and breath our careers all the while striving to keep balance in our personal lives. Sometimes all this can be overwhelming, it can get you down….but then you experience a moment, a moment that is so pure it takes your breath away, it makes you pause and reminds you why you do what you do. Those moments happen when families show up with open hearts and feel the freedom to be themselves. In return we can share the magic that we were so lucky to witness on that day in the form of a photograph, proof that there is love within all of us, a love that is shared with those that are closest to us.
