We realize that the best website in the world still might not answer all the questions you have when investing in custom portrait photography.

“If I put my son in a bright green and my daughter in a bright pink, will that work for our outdoor session in the rain?”

“My newborn daughter has a little bit of baby acne? Is that going to show up in the photos?”

“I’m due in April… when should I book you!?”

Why not just click on the Live Chat button on the bar above and chat with us now!?! That’s right, we are now available for live chat at various points in the day and night! Of course, we’ve both got kiddos and lives outside of work and won’t be available 24/7, but when we are, click on the button and get your answers in real time!

We’re also excited to add another feature to our blog content:

Every week we get numerous emails from people, some mommies wanting to take better photos of their kids and some professional photographers from around the continent, asking us questions about photography. And while we love answering the questions and chatting with new people, at the end of the day, there’s just not enough time!! So, Shannon and I are going to try and do FAQ posts that will answer the most asked questions we get.

Soooo, send us your questions (photography-related only please!) and we’ll do our best to answer what we can. So, our first FAQ blog post will be put up next week. Go ahead and email your questions to info@lucylimestudios.com .  Looking forward to hearing from you!!!

I am excited to be posting this sneak peek for my cousin and the love of his life who were married a couple of weeks ago. I was there with my dear friend and fellow photographer Kathy Paton to document the day! We had so much fun, from early morning in the salon to dancing the night away…these people know how to throw a party! The sun was shining, the people were beautiful and most of all love was in the air…….

Here is a sneak peek of the two of them….now mr. and mrs!!

Congrats &  Much Love!!

Shannon

Almost  two weeks ago now my little brother got married to the most wonderful woman in the world and the wedding day could not have been more perfect! It is so hard to choose the images to post here, but I have narrowed it down to a few of my favorites from the day. Thank you so much to Jillian for helping me document such a special day for my family and also to James, a dear friend who helped Jillian photograph things I may have missed while trying to hold back the tears!

I met up with Jen and her girls in the morning to say hello before heading off to the Hall to shoot some candids of my brother and his boys getting ready……but when I got there I did this instead….

(I must really love my brother and his groomsmen to have ironed all their shirts. Please note that this is the first and last time this will EVER happen. ;) )

Guests started to arrive and the nerves started to show. It was such an exciting morning.

Here is Chris with our handsome Grandfather & our stunningly beautiful Mother.

Our younger brother Garrett made it over from Vancouver Island sporting his handsome Navy uniform.

Our sister Theresa flew in from England with her husband and three children…..remember the twins? Yup! There were there too! We were all so happy that they could make it. We miss them all dearly when we are apart.

Here she is with the boys as they arrive, my oldest boy is the one on the left and my youngest is walking towards the camera in the photo on the right. How cute are they sporting their little kilts!

I just love the way my brother looks at Jen. After a 9 year relationship I still see him look at her like this every time I see them together.

….and it’s official!!

The weather man said it would rain all day….but we called in some favors and the rain held back till later on in the day when it absolutely poured! phew…

I love these girls…..every single one of them.

Love these….

The wind blew that kilt up at the perfect time! We all had a good laugh at this one. :) Whoot whoot!! lol

Chris and Samantha (Jen’s daughter) have always had such a special bond. It has been an amazing journey the two of them have had, nothing but love and support…they are so strong.

Just a simple moment that I think is so beautiful…

How fun is this….and there is that look again…

The rest of the day was amazing….thank you both so much for sharing it with us.

Oh and I must mention that Chris and Jen’s dear friend Rick was rocking it out on stage with his band Haywire for us all to enjoy . Yet another fabulous addition to the day!

hugs! xoxo

Another one of my little sisters bestest friends got married on the weekend and I was lucky enough to be a part of the day. It was an amazing wedding, not much could have made it more perfect. Everyone had a great time….including me ;) My dear friend and fellow photographer Sarah Baker joined me to shoot the day. There were tears, giggles, hoots and hollers, and here is a quick sneak peak of the bride and groom after the ceremony. More to come….

How do you get a bride and groom to arm wrestle in a bathtub?

and my absolute favorite from the day……

I had the absolute privilege to spend the day with my sisters dearest friends on Saturday. One of them was getting married and what a wedding! EVERYONE had so much fun! Weddings are a blast to shoot when the bride and groom are up for anything…with fishing rods, crickets, good friends, outhouses, good wine, and a couple that just simply rocked what could go wrong? Nothing. The day was perfect.

A huge thank you to the wonderful Kathy Paton of www.kpphotography.ca who came over from Vancouver Island to shoot this wedding with me! I love when we get the chance to hang out…here she is in action….

And onto the sneak peak …

and a special one for my sister in England who I know would have loved to be there. These girls are like my little sisters…. we grew up together, and I love them. x

hugs*

Polar Bear Swim 2009 II – Lucy Lime

I have to agree with Jillian and say that this is the craziest shoot I have done to date!

Two things I realized doing this:

1. I did NOT miss my call to be paparazzi. (even though secretly inside, just for a second, I LOVED the rush of getting elbowed and pushed around by other photographers eager the get the shots I was there to get, but don’t tell my Mom….!)

2. I could not do what I do without my girl Jill. She is a star….I mean….check her out! I didn’t see any of those other tough guys out there with their cameras in hip waders! $20 says next year all those news paper photographers are all out there with her!! (me, I will stay safe and dry on shore)
